The Oughterard Community Centre incorporates the Fitness Gym as well as the large Hall and Meeting Rooms.
The Gym
At the Oughterard Community Centre, we have made a major investment in bringing to the people of West Galway and Connemara a state of the art fitness gym and fully refurbished facility.
Facilities include resistance and aerobic equipment, fitness classes, fitness testing, shower/changing area and free parking.
The Hall
The multi-purpose centre also offers snooker, table tennis, pool, senior citizen venue and the opportunity to join a variety of sport clubs. We also cater for kids with after school activities and various camps during the holiday periods.
Centre Activities:
Children: After-school games which include basketball, indoor soccer, hockey and badminton. Also 4-6 yr old playgroup activities and birthday party hosting.
Adults: Ladies basketball, men's basketball, indoor soccer, badminton, boxing, aerobics, table-tennis, snooker and pool.
Groups: Senior Citizens Groups, Weight Watchers, Youth Club.
Schools: Secondary School and National School Winter activities, i.e. basketball, indoor soccer.
Community Meetings: Area community meetings.
Summer Camps: Irish Learning Camp, Basketball Camp, Art and Craft Camp, etc.
